Great dress! I love the purple.
It's pretty and so cute! Your Addy is adorable. I wish I could sew that well and easy. Especially sleeves.

The front bodice. I cut it in about half, and added an inch to the bottom in width which was just enough, then gathered the bottom half into into the top. I just left the back alone, to make things easier. I drafted up a waistband to tuck the bodice in to get more poof but only in the front. It puffs out so neatly.

So cute. You do such a great job sewing your girl new outfits. She is a very lucky doll.

Then I added an inch or so to the width across the bottom half of the bodice, and so when I gathered it, it looked poofy. The front bodice, or top, is done in two pieces.Originally posted by Nethilia:

And no problem. IIRC it's Buttericks and McCalls that are on sale.
Just darling...I need to get sewing for my girls.
Have been making dresses for my grand daughter's Molly that came from the thrift store.
Found fabric that looks like Molly's victory Garden dress and I was going to take a picture of it,but she wanted to take it home tonight for Molly..
So ..well..you know how gramas are...
